Space Rangers 2 - This is why I game on the PC

It's Freelancer:

Trading, mining, missions, building rep with races, a variety of weapons, ship upgrades, mining tools, scanners etc. Land on planets and interact with NPC to get missions. Free open world sand box game play.


It's X3 Terran Conflict:

Unscripted and dynamic universe. A real economy that you can participate in, become a trader, a pirate, or a mercenary. Make money, wage war, pillage ships. The game worlds is alive, NPCs populate the universe and there is always activity around you.


It's Galactic Civilizations:

Allied races are at war with the main enemy AI over star systems. Travel to war sectors and liberate planets from the enemy and regain territory for allied races. Manage and develop different resources such a researching new technology or developing military. Help the war effort by providing needed resources on the war front.

It's EVE, Star Control, Evochron Mercenary, Elite and SPAZ.

The latest version currently available is Space Ranger 2 Reboot, an HD version is currently in the works.

DO NOT follow the instructions in the readme, they are not correct here are correct installation instructions:

1.Open EnglishClean2-4.zip and copy ENG.DAT into Space Rangers 2 - Reboot\cfg
2.Copy "Rangers.exe" to the main game directory
3.Open SR2ResolutionPatch_1.3.7z and run "SR2ResolutionPatch.exe"
4. I picked custom resolution "2560x1440" and it worked fine, pick your own native resolution and click "Install"

edit: okay, watched about 10 minutes of this and kept thinking "damn, that looks familiar. Where have I seen that screen?" Then it dawned on me, I already have Space Rangers. lol. Damn you Steam and your sales. Any case, didn't play it much because of the huge learning curve and the feel of the game just didn't fit well with me.

I had bought a 1C pack of 80 games. Played through Space Rangers 2 and now trying out Star Wolves. I like in Space Rangers, you can pick how you want to earn your money.

SR2 is adorable, especially the text based adventure. On the other hand, the RTS battle is deloprable and I try to avoid it as much as I could.

For some reasons, Space Rangers HD A War Apart is available on Steam but only in Russian. I can understand if it is a new release, but it has been 3 months and still no english version.

Reboot was removed from sale a while back once the HD version once announced...I'm guessing to make people wait for the new HD version. I'm guessing it might be a staged release. I already have reboot but I'm def going to get the HD version as it has proper widescreen support all the way to 1920X1200.
