By the way - SpaceX has a complete piece of shit mission control. For the love of FUCK... CABLE MANAGEMENT MOFO. Do you speak it?!

Also, could you please pay more than 5 dollars for something other than Open Ikea Desks?

And christ, run some of those cables under the floor or some shit instead of just covering it with a speed bump.

lmao! I was kinda thinking the same, it feels like a really cheap/rushed setup. I wonder if the intent is that it can be quickly dismantled and set up and is not a permanent setup, like wonder if at the end they store everything away and that room acts as a board room or something. Seems odd to not have a dedicated room for mission control though.

Actually it's pretty amazing how little equipment is required for "mission control" these days compared to NASA in the 1960's.

It is sorta messy but on the other hand as mentioned you could break the whole thing down in an hour!

IMO SpaceX and the other 3rd Parties coming in is really throwing a wrench in all of this.

The basic dialogue is this:

NASA: OMG, you need at least 5 years and half your budget to evaluate everything before actually doing a successful launch

SpaceX: Naw....

NASA: How the hell do you expect to accomplish this shit with launching and then doing an automated landing of the rocket to then re-use it?

SpaceX: Watch me Bro...

Then they magically do it.

Not to say that they are mythical creatures that are exorbitantly smart. The wife works with them and calls them retarded all the time and can't stand being forced to work with them :p It's almost like... necessary evil, maybe? I dunno.

Yeah NASA/government in general has so much bureaucracy and red tape involved in everything that everything is super inefficient, then you have SpaceX that have the "Just Do it" approach and stuff just gets done. Obviously they still need to take safety seriously and they still do that.
