alright so the installation of sp2 went flawless untill i needed to rebbot after it finished. it would get to the the startup screen and say "please wiat" so i wait for like 10 minutes and then a blue screen shows up with some error. i forget what it is but i dont want to reinstall it just to get that message so that's all in you have to work with...rebooted multipe times and still nothing. i fiddled around with services.msc and some other stuff so maybe i turned on or of something i should have. i could get into safe mode fine to uninstall

my specs:
MSI K8N Neo Platinum
A64 3200+
sapphire X800 Pro (catalysts 4.9 betas)
1 gig ocz premier pc-3200 (twins)
WD 80 gig

:| alright...i tried to install it again and here's the error message:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The windows subsystem system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x
c0000005 (0x0016d5c8 0x0052e064).
The system has been shut down.

i changed all the services that were disabled to manual and that didn't do the trick so i dont think that's the problem. i followed a Tweak Guide and did basically everything it said so that may ahave caused a problem...im stuck and my brother just left to college so he's not going to be able to fix it:(

Use System Restore to roll back to a known-good, before-tweaking date, and then try again. Post back if that doesn't do it.

We don't know what you already downloaded, where you got it, or what someone may have done to it. So, we don't know. You really aren't going to get any usefull help until you pull your head out and post usefull questions.

i dont have any system restore points i turned it off

Now that just figures.

Well, the NT error seems related to system services (services.msc), but it's very difficult to say what your precise problem is. People have had a lot of problems with DivX and 3ivX codecs, I hear. Nero has specifically released a patch for SP2 compatability, IIRC. Any program that's likely to not be programmed with the Win32 API standards strictly followed is a possible source of problems. The less professional the program, the more likely it takes shortcuts that SP2 doesn't allow (IMX). Anti-virus software would also be a possibility.
