Hey guys. I seemed to have run into a strange problem with my laptop. All of a sudden, my IE started to have errors constantly and I'd have to close the program or "end the program." This would usually happen whenever I tried to login to a site (ie: email site, forums, etc). Also, at times, my computer would just restart on its own closing all the programs I'd be running. The restart would happen at random times. I suspected I had gotten a virus somehow so I ran couple of different virus programs. Sure enough, it had detected some trojan horses and I got rid of them. This is when it got weird...A anti-virus program picked up a file by the name "systems.exe" located in my windows system files folder. When the program picked it up, I deleted it and as soon as I did, I got that RPC message saying my computer will automatically shutdown in 60 seconds and start counting down (it was like that exploit that was around before microsoft released a patch for it). So, I restarted my computer and after that, I get a black screen after windows is done loading. So, I boot, Windows loading screen comes on, then when it's supposed to go to my login screen with user names, it's just black. I tried safe mode and it does the same thing. It has "safe mode" written in all four corners with my windows version in the center at top, but everything else is black. However, I can see and move my mouse cursor so I know my HD information is still intact. I have very important files I cannot lose on my HD and was wondering if anyone can help me out here? I've been suggesting repairing with my xp cd, but I don't know if that would do anything to the information on my HD. If anyone can give me advice on what to do, I would appreciate it greatly!
