SP2 and my computer keeps freezing

I just installed SP2 and for whatever reason, the computer will randomly freeze when I am online (I have dial-up). It has not froze any other time except for when I am online and it seems to happen randomly. Everything freezes.....mouse won't move, ctrl+alt+delete does nothing.......any ideas?

I had that problem with my system.. it was something in there that it didn't like, I end up switch a bunch of drivers + a bios flash and it finally install properly.. I end up nuking the os and reinstall fresh + SP2
but that might not be related
