have you found anything in the $5.00 range?

i've looked some at the site and most are over that nice bump price.

mmmmm tasty motherboard. *crunch* Yum, hey at this price you can't complain!

This seems like a nice foundation for a web machine, or low end gaming system (super low end).

Sell the shaver on E-Flay to drop the cost a couple bucks. Perhaps down to 26-28 bucks for the motherboard :) (Unless you need the shaver)

haha, i didnt know this was a hot deal! i bought this mobo yesterday, but i bought it with a picture frame (7.95), a saving of 4 cents. i read in a review it overclocks well, says it easily puts the 300a to 450

Thanks for the deal, I'll probably go for one.

I'm not sure this is true though:

My understanding is that the latest bios will only post a Celeron up to 533, even though you could posibly O/C it to 800+.

And I did order one.

It will not support the 256M DIMM, if you got some from buy.com.

I have this board, and it's nice. You will have to find the driver for on board audio, which Soyo only provides 1998 version:eek:. And the mic had high static sound, so I cannot use dialpad or netmeeting.

BTW, I bought this board sometime last year, paid around $100 from onsale.com, free shipping at that time.

hey Whitemouse, is the static caused by the board, or is it because of the mic itself? if I have the static too, then I will replace the sound card...

The static is from the mic, but I believe it is the board's problem, since the same mic works great on another PC. Yes, I was about to disable the on board sound and install a real sound card. It just never happened, and I do not even know the "new" sound card I bought several months ago is working or not. :(

Crap. I bought the board yesterday, thinking it was for a celeron 566. I bought a 566 - not a celeron2 today so.... please email me if anyone else can make this baby work, since I'm a new overclocker and don't wanna try this one just yet...
Thanx

the 566 only comes as a celeron 2, and this board doesnt support voltage tweaks, so its not gonna be the best overclocker, there is a review on bxboards. if it supports the p3 also it'd be pretty good still, wuth the p3-800/100 being about $180

how far can we go if we run the Celery 566 at 100 FSB speed (approx 850 Mhz???) can it run stable at speeds greater than 100 FSB speed (with proper cooling though)? what is the default voltage setting on the mobo...?
