Soyo SY-6BA+IV

I had that mobo, It was the best board I have ever owned. it overclocked much better than my new one too.. LONG LIVE SOYO!

The sy6ba+iv or +100 are some of the best overclocking and stable mobo's made. There are a few reviews of them also at various hardware sites.

Here's one for exampleright here

It's a really good board. I'm running a PIII-500 at 615 in mine and I never could get that chip to run that high in a P3B-F that I had it in before. Actually I think the memory is probably holding it back now and not the board itself.

This is probably the only board I held on the longest! I've had it for more than a year and still waiting for the best KT133A Mobo. I'm running a P-3 700 @ 933 mhz ever since and have not had any problem. Too bad this was the last of the best from Soyo!😉

I love this mobo too. It is flipping wonderful although I'm a but disturbed that perhaps their latter mobos won't be quite as good. I hope someone can refute this since I'm currently looking for an AMD motherboard to upgrade my system. 🙂 Thanks!

like the rest said - great board. a little limited expandability-wise if you like to use lots of pci cards, (5 slots, but sharing issues w/ the ata66 controller, etc.) but if you have an isa modem or nic then that ain't much of an issue. one hitch is the highpoint ata66 controller - they are as useless as a ..., but that isn't soyo's fault.

Had a Tyan 1854,Aopen Pro, a Asusp2b-f and and a MSI g5 and now the Soyo +IV board. Never had a problem with the Soyo or the Asus.

We should all start a 6BA+ fan-club!
It is one of the best mobos money can buy still I think!
I'd still have it if it wasn't for the UDMA being flakey.
I tried to get another one but no one locally had it anymore. 🙁

oh well my CUSL2 is a really nice board too!!

I just put mine out to pasture with a 500E oc'd to 742, and replaced it with an Iwill KK266Raid. Even after using it for two years my soyo is still solid, but my Iwill is taking everything I can throw at it and hasn't blinked yet. Not even once.

The Soyo +III, +IV, and +100's are all great MB's...almost a match with the Abits' overclocking features but much more stable.
