The ABIT boards are excellent for the newer AMD processors. The Soyo board is OK, but not the best, in my opinion. I'm getting someone to buy my MSI K7T pro board, so I can buy an ABIT board, because I bought the new stuff when it first came out, and ABIT hadn't quite released it yet. Now I really want to overclock.

LXi, maybe you're thinking of the 6BA+100?

The BA+IV has been out for at least a year.

The BA+100 is basically the BA+IV with a HighPoint raid controller insted of ATA-66.
It came out fairly recently.

You don't hear much about Soyo because they're boring. They overclock well and are very stable....what's to get excited about? I've had the SY-6BA+III, +IV, and the +100 and haven't had any problems to post.

My only gripe is they haven't released a good AMD overclocker yet so I can play on the other side of the fence. May have to try MSI or Epox. I do like Asus but my Soyo's have given me comparable quality and stability for less dinero. My only experience with Abit was positive. The MSI 6163 my bro-in-law has is equal to the +III in O/Cing and stability. You don't hear from AOpen users so they must be a pretty happy bunch.

LXi the 6BIV has been out for over a year now. I believe it was released July of 1999.
