I have the Soyo K7V dragon plus. It has the Smartcard reader.

I have everything is hooked up properly (it is just a cable). What is the deal?

I recently bought a digital camera and it uses smartcards. It works fine if I put the card in the camera and get the pics via USB. I was hoping to use the feature of this board.

Does anyone know something about this or similar boards/readers? Is there additional software? The 4 in 1's dont have anything, nor does the digital camera software or the Soyo CD. Im pretty confused, as I thought this was going to be a plug in and it works type thing.

Any suggestions?

You have a Smart Card reader that came with your motherboard. BUT, you need a Smart Media reader to read your digital camera card. Two entirely different devices. Soyo does sell a Compact Flash/Smart Media Sigma box for about $35 (at my local computer show...dunno what the price is direct). Part number SB-K7VXBP.

Hope this helps...
