Help I'm having major problems with the SOyo Dragon +. I have two of these motherboards right now and neither of them work. With one of the motherboards I get a continuous beeping sound. With the other board I get nothing at all. Fans move but no beeps at all. What is the prob??? I've even tried powering up with the motherboard out of the case, same results.

Here is what I have installed.
Athlon Xp 1800+
Gainward Geforce 3 Ti 200
Crucial 256 DDR 2100
Enermax 300W PSU

All of these components work individual just doesn't seem to like this board. What's the prob?? ARGGGHHH

i just helped my brother build a system about a week ago (a little longer) and had the same problem. fans started, but nothing else and no POST. we flipped the power sw connector around and POSTed without a problem. as for no beeps, i'm guessing that the case speaker connector was backwards too.

oh, and make sure that everything is plugged in properly -- nothing else is backwards, ram is properly installed, etc.

hope that helps.

I have a Soyo Dragon+ and I love this board. The long beep could mean that the CPU fan1 is not connected. The board requires a 3-wire fan is conncected to the CPUFAN1 connector in the mb near the socket to boot. You may also want to try booting with just CPU, VGA and memory.

The one with no sound could mean only a few things... 1: Dead CPU or Mobo 2: Mobo is being shorted by something (case possibly), you may want to try it on a desk with just CPU, VGA n mem. 3: Speaker not workin or not connected.

Whenever you're having problems with a Motherboard to boot it's a good idea to clear the bios first, leave the jumper at least for 10 seconds in the right possition to make sure of it.

Well I tried all the commponents in a different motherboard and they all work fine. I don't know what the chances are of getting two defective motherboards but I am no longer buying a soyo motherbaord. I've done everything with this motherboard and it still doesn't work. Too much frustration and it looks like i'll be switching companies.

That's really strange, my setup is very similar to yours, I was using the original Dragon and just recently swapped in a Dragon+ board and everything is working perfectly. Have you tried powering up the board with the bare minimums outside of the case?
