Soyo Dragon+ onboard sound card and Cambridge Creative Labs FPS2000

I have a soyo dragon+ motherboard with the C-6 media onboard soundcard. I bought a Cambrdige Creative fps2000 speaker from a friend, I tested it and it worked fine. However, when I hook the spakers up to my onboard soundcard, only the front two works!!!... Now, that is not the end of the story. I can hear the rear speakers when I use the C-media's PCI Multi-Channel Audio Demo (V3.0)...

WHAT IS WRONG W/ IT?!?!?... Should I flash my bios?? I already updated the onboard soundcard driver, so it's out of the equation.... HELP!!!

My Sytem rig:
AMD XP 1800+ 1550MHz
Soyo SY-K7VDragon+ DDR Mobo
512 MB of Crucial PC2100
ASUS TNT2 PRO (Nvidia )
Seagate Barracuda ST340016A 40.0 GB @ 7200 RPMS
HP M50
Win2k Server
Logitech Corded Optical Mouse

i dunno if this is relevant, but did you hook up the rear speakers? the dragon has that add-in card that you have to put in a pci slot and connect to a motherboard header. i think that has the rear speaker out.

Rainypickles got my first question.

Second, everyone says you should update the bios immediately with that board. Apparently they rushed it out and the original bios was flaky. There was a lot of talk about it a few months ago. I didn't have any problems with mine though. And I think the problems were related to stability in XP. May not help your sound problem but might be worth a try.
