OK first of all the PC2400 has a clock speed of 166mhz (if not it is close to that) and regular PC2100 is 133mhz. If i was you i wouldn't get either and i would just go with some memory from crucial. They make the best memory and it is rumored that they are really PC2400 b/c of their overclockablity. I am running 768mb of it in my rig now and it is very solid. BTW if the PC2400 is made by OCZ DONT BUY IT!!! I have heard that it is very very crappy memory, but that is just what i have heard. Get yourself 512mb of Crucial DDR and overclock it to 150+ mhz depending on your mobo.

Yeah, I can see where you are going... I love crucial, but @ 80 bucks for 256 mb ram its a rip... right now i have 512 of the pc133 and it runs great... but i dunno if i can shell out 160 bucks for the 512 i need... :-\ im looking at the ram at www.outpost.com.... and they have a stick of 512 pc2100 for 99 and pc2400 for 120

pc1600 = 200mhz ddr (2x 100mhz (fsb))

pc2100 = 266mhz ddr (2x 133mhz (fsb))

pc2400 = 300mhz ddr (2 x 150mhz (fsb))

pc2700 = 333mhz ddr (2 x 166mhz (fsb))

The pc2700 will be what is meant to be ran on the many upcoming 333 mobos

I agree crucial is great memory and many can clock these babies to 150 or pc2400 (some mobos can limit this), some easily some need to adjust voltage to ram slightly to gain stability...

That is too bad on the price... I bought my memory 2 months ago and got one stick of 256mb for 33 dollars and the other for 28 dollars all with that beautiful free shipping...since I live in oregon I would get it the next day (micron ships form boise, ID)
