Soyo Dragon+ and EAX support

using the Soyo Dragon Plus with C-Media built-in sound... I THOUGHT this chipset supoorted EAX, but I've been having some problems in games whenever I enable EAX.

Certain sounds are produced (randomly) some music will just stop playing, I get static/crackiling outta speakers... all completely random.
If I turn EAX off, all is fine.

Latest drivers from Soyo so Im at a loss.

I am having problems with the C-Media chip and EAX as well. Tribes 2 and Serious Sam use it fine but I can't enable EAX effects in the copy of Giants that I have.

so its supported, just horribly.

What OS you runing?

You folks might want to look on the www.athlonmb.com forums area. There are discussions about fixed these sound problems. Which driver to use etc.
