ive been looking for lcd/plasma tvs for awhile now and came across this one. had everything i was looking for

Just a suggestion...but isnt it a good idea to get at least HDMI in a new set these days?

if you dont mind a Tube Tv (size/depth aside), i got this model recently.

It was $950 for 30", with HDMI, components, cable card ready, and built in tuner for OTA HD.


Me now waits for people to come crap on Sony TVs.

 
isnt teh only advantage to HDMI that it can carry digital audio? since i will be running my digital audio thru my home theater receiver, DVI was ok with me.
 
You MUST watch your reabate diligently. Save all docuemtns and have them printed out for the 8 week fax to Tiger Direct. I was mising 100+ in rebates. The first time I walked intot he store, the guy told me to bring the forms that wer submitted. 3 Days later, i had a credit on my credit card for the rebate amount.

HDMI or DVI with HDCP will be required to connect most HD cable boxes or sat recivers in the near future and any of the upconverting DVD player (or future HD DVD players) I see no specs that says the DVI is HDCP capable (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection)
 
Please read about all the problems people are having with SOYO and their rebates. I am still fighting for one of mine. I will never buy another SOYO product and I tell everyone else about their problems. Very bad company that just does not give a &*(^.

when I see TigerDirect...I just pass it and foget about any deals fro them...everything is a flippin rebate on their site
 
For the people who bought it, how do you like it so far? I was looking at this one but I want more information on it.
 
soyo doenst only NOT GIVE out any rebates.

but thy have no customer service either.

theres nothing special about there products either.

I bought those FAR soyo motherboards in the past, and if you wont to ever see a rebate from them, you must act like your clinicly insane and threaten them till they get sick of you.

my 2cents... avoid SOYO AT ALL COST.
 
According to the Soyo site, under technical specs the panel is a LG panel.

I'm assuming this is the same LG that makes the phones and crap right?
