So it's been, what? Almost a year since I paid these guys $60 (I think, it's been a while) and I still haven't received anything. For a while, they were sending emails about "we're almost ready" and blah blah blah.

Well, I am just writing off my $60 now. I haven't heard a peep from them in months. No attempt to contact me, no updates.

Fuck em!

They've had troubles securing some of the ingredients. The local cemetary hired security guards.

1. Did you attempt to contact them? iirc they are in the process of expanding their facilities, so full production still isn't ramped up yet. They said they're currently responding within half a day now:

http://blog.soylent.me/post/112067551237/soylent-1-4-begins-shipping-today

Over the last month, we have aggressively expanded the Soylent customer care team, which has grown to nearly 20 dedicated and motivated individuals. Thanks to their hard work, the average response time for customer care inquiries has dropped from over 1 week to below 12 hours. We understand that our response times have not matched the urgency of your requests in the past, and it is extremely important to us that your customer support experience improves just as quickly as the Soylent formula.

2. Have you considered a competitor? Here's a couple to start out with:

http://custombodyfuel.com/product/schmoylent/

3. Have you considered making it yourself? Lots of good recipes available:

Yup, I contacted them - got no response. And frankly, I shouldn't be doing all the leg work anyway.

Rip. Off.

I had a coworker who had the same story, except he contacted them to complain. He had his stuff the next week.

Squeaky wheel, dude.

How recently did you try contacting them? Sounds like they only just barely expanded their customer service team.

They are a new & growing company, but I understand where you're coming from. I happen to like the product, which is why I'm hanging in for the ride.

I tied to get some food, but the kickstarter page is down and the company isn't returning my emails. They did send me a keychain with "Premium Supporter" embossed on a plastic banana. So there's that.

How much protein in that keychain?

Edit: I can see the news story now. "Hipster geek starves to death waiting for his latest fad diet sludge mixture to arrive".

But if people starve to death by not getting their Soylent then eventually there will be too many dead people to guard effectively and they can start up production again. It's all supply and demand, the most corpses the lower price per corpse and the more profit they can make. Invest now!

I've already been investing in suicide booths.

Ordered two week supply two weeks ago. From ordering to delivery was 3 days. My brother and his friend also ordered and received their supplies in 4-5 days each.

I have it. Been getting it for about a year. I just take it when i dont feel like cooking or the choice is fast food or healthy (sometimes I still pick fast food). I will say the new 1.4 is great. No oils and it is the most neutral flavor of any of the "food replacement shakes".

I wouldnt use it all the time but for a quick lunch or if you work late and dont feel like cooking it sure beats a gut bomb.

You feel good after you eat it. It satisfies but you dont feel full. A little energy and whatnot too. Its worth having for whatever. Also keep a months supply in the closet and you will not go hungry if the shit hits the fan for a few weeks.

----- edit

1 scoop is 500 calories. Put it in blender bottle and add spring water and shake. Then put it in the freezer for like 30 minutes and its good to go.

the op should go to soylent discourse and make a post there. My order fell through the cracks as well and they sent me a free week.

I put my order in originally 11/3/13. It was about a 2 year wait.

OP, I have a kickstarter i'm launching for fresh fruit. You can get in on the ground floor. Just need enough people to buy in on the trees im going to plant from seeds, then wait the 7-8 years for delivery.
