Because movies made before the 80's don't have good enough special affects that make it worth it to own them on high quality DVD...the only thing I'd get out of them is Chapters but VCD's let you do that anyway

Probably not...but if Hollywood was gonna single one guy out because of politics, it would be Heston

I buy DVD because it is a better medium for storing the movie in question. Also I have a few movies that were made before 1980 on DVD. Nothing everything is about special effects.
