Just watched it! Good flick 😀

No current threads on it, all of the old ones are archived.

Spoiler:

Soylent Green is teh pe0plez!!!!

I thought it was excellent as well. Edward G. Robinson (who played Sol) was dying of cancer during filming so his role was especially poignant.

Leigh Taylor-Young looked HOT, even by today's standards 😛

Hot women look hot, by any standards.

The part where she had all those furniture chicks over for a party was hottt. I wanted a "pillow fight" to break out.

Not in the book though.

I have a copy of the novel (Make Room! Make Room! by Harry Harrison) and there is actually 3 seperate plots going at the same time. Sol's death, the police investigation of the robbery and a young man who does steal things like food.

Soylent Green, Soylent Orange and Soylent Yellow were all made and none were made from people. Green is protein and is made from krill harvested at sea. Yellow and Orange are vegatables and grains.

The book is actually quite fascinating.
