Hi to all members. It's time for me to get a new mobo with pci-e.
I'm still waiting for some good reviews on the K8T900 and Nf4 boards.
Which will you guys get and why?

MSI Neo4
DFI Nf4 Ultra D
Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9
Asus A8V-E
Abit AX8
Soltek SL-K890Pro
Epos 9NPA+ Ultra
Chaintec VNF4 Ultra

Right now, I'm looking at the Neo4 Platinum, but I'm holding out waiting for AT's NF4 roundup to appear ... Wes said the end of this week since they wanted to wait and receive the BIOS update for the DFI Ultra-D ... well, it's the end of this week :p

Not really interested in the extra $$$ for SLI, but if they drop in price, sure why not?

EDIT -- Oh, you asked for "Why?" as well -- the feature set. I could get by with something like the Chaintech but I'd rather not have to worry about Firewire or something later on. And you wouldn't believe how handy having two Ethernet ports in a machine can be sometimes! (current mobo = A7N8X Deluxe 2.0)

Two DFI, two neo 4, one gigabyte, looks like everyones
getting Nf4 ultra boards. I'm also leaning to Nvidia chip because
i wanted to run NCQ in raid 0 and the via does not support it.
I think i will get either the DFI nf4 or the MSI neo4, just don't know
which one is will be more stable.

You might want to throw the Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-9 in there, just for fun. It's the one between the K8NF and their SLI board.

I'm going with either the K8NF-9 or the K8NXP-9.

Invincible, can I ask why the two ports are so useful at times? Are you doing some packet forwarding or advanced routing or do you have other reasons? I can see why the feature would be used on servers that need to be on two networks at once but for home machines I don't know the selling point-- that's why I ask. Thanks man.

Both LAN and your Ethernet based cable/DSL modem.

What's a reason to go for DFI?

2 yrs ago when I last upgraded I had never heard of that company.

I was leaning towards the MSI Nf4 board.
