What the fuck are you talking about? Russian ships move from the black sea into the Mediterranean all the time. Syria is important to the Russian Navy because it's their only naval base between their black sea bases and their Pacific bases.

Atlantic? Indian?

Think everyone in the topic needs to have a look at the map of the area so that we're all on the same page.

Russian bases in the Artic/Baltic feed the North Atlantic; are worthless to get to the Pacific unless you use subs.

I have not heard of any Russian bases in the Indian Ocean.
