I am shocked that no one is talking about this game. I really want to pick it up, but I can't decide which console to get it on. My kids use the 360, so they wouldn't be very happy about me taking it, and my ps3 is a media player in our bedroom. Decisions decisions...

i hope it comes out in a couple months on x1/ps4 because i don't plan on hooking my 360/ps3 back up. not a fan of RPG's but i'd definitely play this because it would basically be like a 14 hour south park episode that is interactive. looks to be getting pretty good reviews as well.

Yeah I try to stick with the new consoles too, but I need to go and play the second episodes on Wolf among us and Walking Dead season two, so I think I will just move my 360 back to my tv and let the kids use the ps3 for now.

I know purebeast doesn't have a PC that would be considered gaming quality, but I don't know about you American Gunner...it's available on PC as well.

Just thought I would mention it because the reviews are saying that there are some framerate issues on the console versions. Nothing more specific than that though.

I never really watched south park through the years so I don't know if I would know the characters and get the cameos that happen throughout the game as mentioned in the reviews.

Not sure who the target audience for this is. Its labeled a rpg but rpg players value seriousness, tragedy, etc. And South Park is anything but deep and heart warming.

Not all of them. Some RPG gamers just want to be told a story, serious or not.

RPG means you play the roll of a character. This game has jobs, skills, spells to learn, etc.

Some of the jobs include warrior, wizard, thief, and jew

No you don't need an RPG to be serious. That's done basically every time. Why can't we have an RPG with a fun story? That'd be a great change.

i hope you guys are all playing this on pc.

because according to the internet, any games that run lower than 1080p are ruined and simply unplayable. as in, since they aren't that resolution they simply cannot be enjoyed by anybody at all and simply don't work and are broken.

Can't believe Xbone is only 480p according to some guy at playstation forums. Only real gamers play on PC.

Well, everything I play ends up at 1080p, native or not. I just don't care. I really can't wait to check this game out tonight.

Nah. Real gamers play in 240p in 15kHz RGB! ;)

People arguing about pixels are most likely the CoD chumps. 1080p is just another number to brag about next to their K/D.

Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii U on a 1080p panel looked like crap, as did Xenogears on a 10 foot 1080p screen (this was before I got all hardcore retro with RGB monitors). But Xenogears was one of the most unforgettable games I've ever played. 240p upscaled to 1080p and all the PS2->PS1 BC glitches as annoying as they were, has no impact on that. I should replay it though in RGB on a real PS1.

Cell shaded games like this, Ni no Kuni, Tales of, etc resolution isn't really isn't as important.

Saw some videos on youtube. Looks funny and interesting but I'm not paying 60 bucks for this.

I got the game last night and so far it's pretty fun doing quests and looting houses. The combat system is exactly like paper mario, and the dialogue is pretty funny at times. I haven't gotten very far yet so that's all I have to offer atm.

I'm playing it in a PC, it is funny and interesting, and you can get it for $30-$35 ($30 in Steam Marketplace and $35 in ebay).

Are you talking about the newest "Ghostbusters" game or the newest Ghostbusters game? No one that isn't offended by SP will say Sanctum of Slime>Stick of Truth

I own and loved Ghostbusters: The Video Game (2009).

I did not know about Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime (2011) or Ghostbusters: Paranormal Blast (2012). Paranormal Blast is for smartphones I guess. Sanctum of Slime was not well received.

I had this for the Apple 2:

Was awesome as a kid.

I love more 'classic' style RPGs that have a great story, seriousness, and tragedy, BUT 'different' RPGs have their place too. I think of games like Earthbound, Fallout or GTA that can be hilarious at times. It's nice to switch it up a bit occasionally.. :)

Way to put me in my place.

Earthbound. Perfect comparison. How did I not see that?

You don't need a high-end gaming PC for this, I can run it no problems on my rig and it's quite a lot of fun.

I love how this game takes jabs at things that have become staples of the RPG genre. I played it for about 3 hours last night and laughed the entire time.
