Skin-Nerd sucks. The only thing I hate worse than southern rock is nascar and country music.

I actually saw him in concert.

He opened for Robert Plant and absolutely blew Plant away.

Allman Bros are easily my favorite of this genre. One of the greatest jam bands of all time actually.

The Doobie Bros were a lot like CCR; actually from California, but really played up the country/southern edge sound.

ZZ Top's another big one. I believe they were from Texas. A pit more of a pop sound at times due to the 80s, but still heavy on the guitar.

Skynyrd and Allman Bros are playing here Saturday but I don't think I'm going to go...39.50 and 59.50 for tickets is ridiculous to see those 2 acts.. I guess its paying more for the Bros cause I don't think Skynyrd would bring in anybody with those kinda prices, considering there's like 1 original member left alive.

All of it is great party music. Makes for good road music, as well.

As for the "white trash" comment... Most of the "white trash" I know listen to rap and hip-hop and drive around neighborhoods in boom-boom cars that annoy the hell out of everyone.

You act like there's something wrong with being "White Trash" I say embrace the Trash in you!;)

The Allman Brothers, especially early Allman Brothers, is some of the best Rock N Roll ever IMO. In one of Eric Clapton's most famous songs, Layla, Duane Allman blows Clapton away with his Slide Guitar work!
