both my brother and I played in minor hockey tournaments in Fort Erie when we were younger! good times!!

Biggest tomato so far has been 1lb 4oz but I have one on there that's bigger, just not ripe yet.

These are all Burpee Beefsteak tomatoes Planted March 1st. The tallest one that's now above the gutter on the house, is 8ft 8in (just measured). I had to get my extendable 12' pole, bury the handle and then tie the plant to it because it was getting so tall. The plant to the far left is a Red Savina Habanero that bugs had munched on. The ones in small pots are a red savina and the others are a type of long chili, generic red pepper.

Got about another week or two before some of these will ripen. Planted from seed April 1st. Going to overwinter this puppy 😉

My garden went nuts this year. I doubled the size of it last fall, making it apprxomately 20'x20' and the entire thing is just stuffed with plants, even though I planted them with mroe room than suggested. The only difference was a new compost I worked in this spring. My tomatoes plants are so big they are collapsing the 24" cages, literally bending them from the weight. My zucchini plants must have had 75lbs of vegatables. I got a good amount of habenero peppers that I dried and crushed. We had stuffed green peppers for dinner last night.

I planted my pumpkins too soon, however. They are all orange 🙁.

I'm having the same issues with my tomato plants - they've grown significantly taller than my supports. I have three varieties growing: A hybrid that yielded LARGE fruit, a Roma which has grown into a large, ratty bush, and finally a cherry tomato that's always covered in fruit. I planted a birdhouse gourd next to the roma, and it has dead grip on the plant - I've got about 6 gourds right now. I'm also growing a Seminole Pumpkin, and have too many to count 😱 Hopefully I can give them all away....
