South Park + Writers Strike = Fantastic

South Park's 2nd half of this season is over after this week's episode, but not due to the strike.

I doubt we will see anything about it unless Comedy Central orders more episodes.

I am pretty sure they have enough episodes made until the situation is clear.

Actually South Park takes little time to animate since it uses paper cutouts - So you won't be seeing many new episodes.

"Obsessed with the Guitar Hero video game, Stan and Kyle make a great team and score record points when they play. Stan realizes he has the potential for enormous success if he plays with another partner. He and Kyle break up but, without his friend, Stan quickly folds under the pressure of being a rockstar."

actually it took longer to animate b/c of the paper cutouts.
they stopped using the paper cutouts years and years ago and all animation is done on computers, thus the episodes can remain timely w/ whats happening in the news.

Uh, it does not use paper cutouts. Its all computer animated. The only episode that actually used paper cutouts was the pilot.

Southpark doesnt need writers... matt and tray can whip up an episode in 5 minutes.

Exactly why I posted this.....they are so much in world of their own.....they don't need writers.....but I do see an episode in the future (too bad the end of the season is this week).

In the DVD commentary's they talk about a lot of episodes not even being worked on until a couple of days before they air.

I'd think the episode would contain something where the kids start walking around and notice that half the population has become paralyzed mutes... like wax statues. No one can think for themselves and it's due to the fact that their "writers" went on strike or something.

Then Chef comes back and dies again.
