I don't know - neither this weeks episode nor last weeks episode made me even half-laugh once. I guess if I don't laugh at one way to say crap or "I've got a raging clue", I'm not going to laugh at twenty different ways to say that. South Park has lost their ways.
To some, the show is funny because it's topical. To others it's not funny because they are changing from the mega-streisand/mr hankie/ etc. humor that they were founded on.
There are not a whole lof of differences of subject matter from the early season to the late seasons - and I think pretty much all episodes from seasons 1 through 8 are hilarious, and a sprinkling of 9, but 10 just isn't the same. Look at the early seasons, and a lot of them were topical too, except they were commenting on more broad subjects, like the rainforest, accepting gays, corporations, home schooling, etc. The middle seasons are topical too, and more specific like the late seasons, just look at all the episodes in season 6 for instance, Jarred, Simpsons, Catholic Priests, Lucas remaking films, Lord of the Rings, John Edwards, etc.
But it just feels like season 9 & 10, they are trying too hard to force topics and force the comedy, instead of the much more natural flowing episodes of past seasons. And that's what I mean when I say I think they're losing their ways. It has nothing to do with the subjects of the episodes, because they have been using that formula to create the majority of episodes since way back in season 5.
