Now THAT was a South Park episode. Was very disappointed at the first two, this one definitely made up for them.

HILARIOUS

The bouncing down the streets on his ballsack was hilarious. I liked when they were all bouncing in protest of making the marijuana stores doors wider so they could get their balls through the doorway and the news van is interviewing that guy in the foreground. He says, "It's not like there's anything unusual about this demonstration!" HAHAHA!!!!

People got all over me when I said the first couple episodes were kinda dull but we all know that KFC episode was the best by far this season 🙂

Just out of curiosity I wonder which was the last episode Ned was in/spoke in before this one? -I thought they forgot about him as a character. Maybe he's been around here and there the past few seasons aand I just haven't noticed.

Best. Episode. EVER!

Randy and pals bouncing down the street on their balls, the looks on their faces made my sides hurt. I kept rewinding it over and over again. And cartman cutting the chicken skin into lines and snorting it was just too much.

Oh, you got a scrotocoat!

Has to be up there in the top 10 episodes.

No, kenny fighting satans armies with his psp was better.

mythbusters was also pretty good this week

agreed, definitely one of the top episodes. the whole thing was hilarious. loved the whole scarface stuff, they had it DEAD on

Yep, it was an instant classic. I loved the music that played when everyone was bouncing on their balls.
Ditto. The whole episode was great, but it was the music that really put it over the top. It was very Yakety Sax.

watched this episode yesterday.

'one of the great ones' my ass. it was indeed just marginally better than the first two episodes of this season. at least half of last season was better.

it was an okay episode. not the best by far.

the KFC storyline was better than the marijuana one.

though i did like the ball bouncing music. Anyone know the source of that?

My two favorite characters are Cartman and Randy, so I certainly enjoyed this episode, I wouldn't go as far as to call it the best though. Its a tough battle between Imaginationland, Return of Chef, and Die, Hippie, Die for that title.

Dolphin and Whale was my favorite in the last few seasons, but this eps was a very close second. After a couple more viewings it might pull ahead

I have never watched a whole ep of SP. I tried years ago when it first came on> I have seen several clips on youtube though

Personally, along with the KFC episode, I really like:

Kenny Dies
Butters Very Own Episode
Cartmanland
(these three are in Season 5, odd I did not know that off the top of my head)
Cartman Joins NAMBLA
More Crap
The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers

Here is a complete list of episodes.

it's sad, but it seems like the majority of the really good episodes all follow simple pop-culture themes. the LOTR episode, warcraft, guitar queer-o, et al.

most of the 'original' creations (imaginationland comes to mind) are fucking terrible.

I caught a repeat of AWESOM-O last night, never seen it before. thats an awesome episode also. the end letting the scientist get shot is priceless

Blasphemy! Imaginationland is awesome.

I think just about everyone would disagree with you. what are a couple of your favorite episodes?

Imaginationland was fantastic. Die Hippie Die is classic, and while it paraodied various movies, it wasn't a pop culture response. Scott Tenorman Must Die? Ginger Kids? The list just goes on....

the three i mentioned are personal favorites. butters bottom bitch was excellent, more crap was pretty damned amusing. the scientology one was good.

i really can't think of that many off the top of my head, though i know there are a lot.

but every single multi-part episode they've done was crap. i have no idea what people see in the imaginationland episode.

What a shocker, someone on AT finds the two episodes about video games and one about LOTR to be the best 😉

Really though, I won't argue that the pop culture episodes are fantastic. Their ability to quickly and hilariously parody what's happening in the world is one of their best traits. However, the original episodes are still great too.
