***01/09/05*** Thanks to all that participated! Look for the next LAN party in April or May. Also, thanks to Anandtech for pinning this message, I appreciate it!!!!!

I am hosting my 5th Perodic LAN party in Mission Viejo CA on Jan 8th 2005. If you are interested in attending you can PM or email me, I will add you to the list and next week (week of 27th) I will send out an email with address and directions. If you could, include your system specs, which games you play most, and if you are over 18. More details can be found at my web site.

I have capacity for about 30 people. Right now I have 10 confirmed and 6 maybe's (updated as the RSVPs come in).

Rapid Fire, I quote from Lanparty.com

LAN is an acronym for Local Area Network, which is a way of connecting multiple computers together in a manner that allows them to communicate freely with one another. With the advent of multiplayer computer games, LANs have become increasingly popular as a way to play head-to-head with others without suffering with the effect known as "lag", or latency. Other advantages of a LAN, besides the speed, are the ability to meet the gamers you're playing against, the fun of playing many different games at one sitting, tournaments, face to face competition, and the opportunity to learn more about the applications and/or operating systems you're currently using.

I have a buddy that works over at Blizzard. I played the beta for about a month or so. I'm not a big fan of that type of game though. Bring your cd case, I'm sure he'd be happy to autograph it for you 🙂
