I bought an Asus A7V8X-E Deluxe mobo; recieved it today form newegg. OS installation and everthing else went off without a hitch. My only problem is I installed the nforce drivers and double clicked on the nForce control panel; I set up my speakers (I have a 4.1 setup) and I don't get 4.1 through winamp and various other apps.. It works fine through media player, Quicktime.

I also know that this board is capable of ecoding Dolby Surround on the fly from a stereo file; how do I go about setting up all this stuff right to get it up to nominal performance?

While it worked fine with Winamp 3, Winamp 5 did not output to my rear speakers either. Probably a setting somewhere to change that.....
