Soundless cooling

Hello...

Where can I get some really soundless cooling? My bosses don't wanna hear their computer when they talking in the phone 🙂

Look into the Zalman range of products (in particular, the Fan Mate 1 for a cheap and effective speed adjuster for whiny fans), as well as the SilentDrive HD enclosure and Novibes mounting bracket. I hear good things on each of those, and have personally tried and use the Zalman stuff.

The amount of silencing you can get away with will vary with how much heat your CPU gives out (if you want to stay in spec), and how loud the other stuff in your system is (some power supplies drown out all the sounds the HD, cpu & fan can make, etc). Good luck.

Thanks... Well... the computers must be totalt soundless... I have permissions to bue specieal coolers, PSUs and som fleese.. 🙂 Do you have a url to th Zalman stuff?

In particular, check out the flash animations on how to install their products to get an idea of how things work.

Completely soundless might be a difficult task. That's my ultimate goal too...but the thing is it's hard to silence a spinning HD or DVD-ROM, or banish fans completely. There are water-cooled power supplies and all sorts of stuff if you want to spend, but most of those are beyond the budgets of Joe User.
