If any of you all wouldn't mind answering a couple of questions about your preferences, I would be greatful. Right now I have an old SBlive soundcard in my pc and it has decent quality output. I was looking at all the reviews of these new Audigy 2 cards and wondering if I should upgrade.
Do the new cards with EAX and such really make all games sound better, quake3, savage, c&c generals, swg, etc.?
I normally use my sennheiser hd600's and xcan v2's or my dd/dts 5.1 speaker system to listen to games and music and such, adn I don't use it for dvd, would it still be worth it?
If you plug an amp into the optical out on these, are any games in 5.1 or just certain supported ones?
