Does eax in games really make the sound or game much better, also does having a soundcard give u better fps overall then having intergrated sound and if so which soundcard is better Chaintech 7.1 envy24 or the new soundblaster live 7.1
 
using onboard sound will decrease your FPS, but will you notice it? NO......

quality of sound is best reflected on speakers as opposed to sound card IMO
