Soundcard compatibility

Pretty sure that the Xtreme Gamer is just a rebadged Audigy 2 chip, not a real X-fi chip.

Mind if I ask what you wish to do with the sound card? Is EAX important? Headphones? How many speakers in the setup? A receiver involved where you may need optical or coaxial connections? Any input needs?
 
I am a gamer, and since I live in Canada we have a boxing day/week sale going on at a store called NCIX. They are selling the PC 350's for 129.99 before tax, and I thought might as well get a sound card to get most out of that beast headset.

Yes, they do work, and has been working for awhile. X-Fi Fatality. However, I did not test the expansion bay's remote, nor any/many EAX games. These seem to be in short supply these days.
 
If you're using 64-bit, Vista, or Windows 7, I highly recommend only getting the X-fi Titanium, as its the only current X-fi using the newest chip that seems to have removed most of the driver issues and sound crackling problems.
