Soundblaster ZxR and CrystalVoice

I just purchased a Soundblaster Zx and I am running it on an ASRock X79 Extreme6 MB. When using the microphone on the ACM along with CrystalVoice with only noise reduction enabled (I do not have effects or anything else enabled in CrystalVoice), anything coming through the microphone sounds slowed and garbled or slurred.

I've tried the PAX drivers and they seem to resolve the issue, but they do not support the headphone amp, and the sound quality seems worse.

As it has better DACs, does anyone know if the Soundblaster ZxR has the same problem?
