A little while ago I tried to uninstall some soundblaster audigy 2 software, I can't remember why. Anyway something went wrong and it didn't uninstall properly so now whenever I try to uninstall (or modify or repair) the audigy 2 software I get the error message "An event was unable to invoke any of the subscribers." I tried removing all of the registry entries associated with Creative, as well uninstalling the card itself. None of this seems to work, so even though the basic drivers work I can't install (or uninstall) any of the other software the audigy 2 came with (audigy hq, eax console, etc). I can't figure out why it gives me this message all the time, since I have tried to remove everything associated with the audigy 2. Anyway, if anyone knows how I can uninstall the software so I can install it successfully, that would be great.

Sorry, I forgot to say I'm using Windows XP. That knowledge base article seems to be for Windows 2000.
