Yes it does. As you get older your ears lose the ability to hear certain frequencies. I tried playing that for my mom about a year ago when I first heard this and she couldn't hear it though I could.

It all depends on how well you can hear, not your age. If you spent your entire youth as rock concerts then you may not be able to hear the sound when your 30, others that took care of their ears may still be able to. Someone here who is 42 said they could hear it.
