Sound stupid?

Im debating on whether I should go to Washington DC this summer and be an internship at an ISP, the person that mainly owns it is in my Counter Strike Clan... I'm 16.. the main thing you probably think is my parents, but I just asked my mom earlier and she said its fine if she can meet him, I'd probably stay with one of the leaders house! Sounds like good experience in the IT field!
