I have a soundblaster live! oem, latest drivers, xp w/ latest updates for that too. I get fine playback sound but when i try to record sound on a program like roger wilco, the sound is usually very crappy and warped. i've used w2k and it's had no problems with this. could it be my mic? or is there some conflict in xP?
