I don't know a lot about computer hardware, so I'm at a loss. Ever since I installed my NVIDIA GeForce 2 GTS video card I have been having some problems with sound. Whenever I play a game or an MP3 and there is some sort of motion on the screen, the sound 'clips.' There isn't really another word to describe it... that I can think of at least. This makes playing games a lot less enjoyable. Updating the card's drivers hasn't helped anything. Could there be a conflict between my older sound card and my newer video card?

Reinstall direct x 8.0...or if it you had 7.0 reinstall that.

Conflict only if they were trying to share irq's....Do you now how to check this?

Also did you do a fresh reinstall of windows prior to new vid card placement or did you merely remove old one and place this one in? You may have a cluttered registry with reminence of old vid card...
