sound problems

i bought nascar 2004 pc game .the sound of the car idling sounds ok but when i drive the engine sounds like a small whining electric mixer? i know this isint right what could be wrong with sound? puter is sony vaio 866 mhz 133 sdram.i had nascar 2002 in before and had no problems.is there a change i can make for this problem?

Not familiar with the program, but try updating your sound driver and changing the sound config in the game to a different setting. (many will have options for DX 3D sound, EAX, etc...)

Your computer is actually a little slow but how much memory do you have? I realize it is PC133 but do you have 128 or 256 of memory?

You should really upgrade to at least 256 or 384.

yes probably gut the 2002 game had no problem why wont the 2003 game work right?

Games get better/faster/bigger every year when they release the updated versions (otherwise nobody would buy them). The system requirements are gonna go up and up every year.
