When I copy files (ie, from cd to hd) i get pops and such in my sound.. I tried installing the latest sb live drivers for win2k, but that totally screwed xp over.. blue screen on boot.. I'm back to the default drivers that come with xp.. The cdrom I'm copying off of is in PIO, primary slave. the hd is a maxtor 30gb, udma5, primary master.. when copying from my other drive (secondary master) the sound is fine .. it's also noticably slower when copying from the first drive..
