sound problem (Logitech X-530 & GA-K8nxp-sli)

I just bought a whole new system the other, including the X-530 speakers and GA-K8nxp-sli mobo. what has been pissing me off is that no matter i plug into the 'front speaker out' port only the right speaker makes sound. I've got the newest drives for the onboard sound card but i still can't figure out what the problem is. I've gotten to the point to where i just to by a new 5.1 card but would really want to avoid it.

if anyone could give me any idea what going on, that would be great.

there may be faulty wiring in your left speaker...try moving around the wire while playing audio and see if it statics or comes in at all. if it does, then the wire is faulty

yea, i forgot to said that i did try that. still nothing. even when i used headphone i still don't get sound out of the left. could this have something to do with codec at all?
