There is a problem, well for me atlest it is a problem. I have headphones that connect to the front of my pc. The speakers connect in the rear. How can I use the headphones without bending all the way in the back tightly to change the wires from speakers to headphone? Cuz then they are in front they dont work.

I have the same problem with my ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard.

My ASUS K8N-E Deluxe motherboard doesn't have that issue though. *shudders*

Can anyone else shed some light on this?

If you get a X-Fi w/ front outputs, then there's an option to not mute the speakers once headphones are plugged in.

If you get a Y cable splitter, then you can connect both the speakers and headphone to the same output port. The only problem is that the sound will continuously play from both the speakers and the headphone even if you are not using the headphone.

This is the setup I have.

Luckily, my speakers have a power button, and my headphones have an easily-accessible volume switch on them.

You can also just get an extension cable and run that from the back of your PC to wherever. Switch the plugs at the end of the extension cable rather than at the back of the PC.
