Recently this started happening and I have no idea how and I have no idea how to fix it. First of all, I cannot get the volume icon to show up in the taskbar. It is checked in sound options and I've unchecked and re-checked it to see if it would show up, and it still doesn't. However, this is the least of my problems. Depending on what I'm doing, I get no sound. For example, I can listen to music using musikCube and watch videos using Media Player Classic and I get sound. However, I get no sound using my browser watching videos online and I just booted up the game Black & White and I get no sound in there.

Can anybody help me out?
 
u can unplug and re-plug in ur sound card, chang slot, then resetup driver.


if it is onbroad, try to resetup driver first, if it still doesn't work, try reinstall xp.
 
I fully uninstalled and then installed my audio drivers and the same problem remains. I am using onboard video and my motherboard is a Biostar TForce 6100-754.
