Sound is missing?!?

I upgraded from WinME to Win2K Pro last night and now my sound is missing. I'm guessing that I'm missing a driver for it but the sound is intergrated into my motherboard from Compaq. Anybody have any ideas on how to get it back?
 
see if compaq has win2k drivers. if not then look to see what sound card you have...either by looking at the chipset on the board itself and see if u can find the manufacturer on the web. and see if they have win2k drivers...else u gotta buy a new card.
