sound dissappears all of a sudden!

i played a game, left computer alone, came back and cant get any sound out of my TBSC/Z-560's. no luck with headphones in the Z-560 volume control column, any ides?

EDIT: both the speakers and the headphones work on soundstorm onboard, did my sound card just die?
 
Uninstall the TBSC and then try to re-install with latest drivers. If that don't work, then it could be toast. I've only ever seen one soundcard die, but that was in a desktop 233 mac.
