Looking to buy a good sound card and I am thinking of buying a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer Audio Card. Is this a good sound card? Are there any problems with it?
 
It depends what kind of speakers you have. If you have 5.1 speakers then I suggest the Philips Accoustic Edge, if you have 4.1 speakers or 2.1 I suggest either the Hercules Fortissimo 2 or Game Theater XP. Stand clear from the audigy if you plan on running windows XP or 2000, as they still haven't figured out how to get stability in the drivers.
 
Personally I have the GTXP and I use the digital out plugin with my Altec Lansing ADA 880 and I must say I am quite impressed. Congras Hercules, you achieved something Creative couldn't do for the 6 years of business you swindled off me.
