link doesn't work, but I don't know if rocketfish is a name I'd trust for my home theater needs.

If you don't have a digital audio out integrated into your mobo I'd look in to some kind of USB soundcard with an optical out. If you're using HDMI for video your video card might be capable of outputting digital audio.

that says you have a header, all you need is a bracket.

on one end is a jumper cable, the computer kind, not car battery kind()🙂

The other end is a coax jack. Typically coloured orange. This jack is attached to one of those metal covers for your expansion slots.


don't know if this is the right one, contact MSI to find out what is the right part

In essence, you just need the connector.

your manual should have a pinout locator picture, it tells you where every connector is 😛
