sound card

Hey guys, I didn't really know where to post this so sorry if it's in the wrong place. Anyways, my free sound card isn't working that great, it's bothering me alot and it sounds horrible. So i've decided to get a new one. I'm on a budget of around 40 dollars give or take. Anyone know a goove 5.1 sound card that meets my criteria? Thanks.

well yeah i play games but i also want good music..I'm probably leaning towards music a bit. And it absolutely has to be around 40 dollars..lol very tight budget

Deffinatly go with the Chaintech, very good soundcard for the price.

Ive heard lots of great stuff about the Chaintech, Id say go with that.

For gaming an A2 value would probably be a better idea. There have been some deals out for A2s under $40.

The Chaintech is a great card for $25-ish, but it's better at music than gaming for features.

i currently have the maddog 5.1DPS soundcard, do you think i'll se an imporvment? I also have the Creative P5800 speaker system.

Unless you're getting static and such from your soundcard, a better set of speakers may make a bigger difference (but not on a $40 budget).

yeah but my soundcard is causing more trouble than my speakers right now lol, well my speakers aren't causing any trouble
