SOUND CARD Q - HTIB Receiver Connected to PC?

Hello:

Due to upgrades in non-PC areas (upgraded to a new job and house in FLA) I have an extra HTIB receiver and speaker set-up that is sitting in the corner looking at me.

I was thinking of hooking it up to my PC to impove my sound.

That is the first question - would the use of the receiver and amp be better then the Klipsch THX speakers I now have?

If so, which sound card would be the best choice for that connection?

I generally listen to music and play games on the main PC. I would hate to lose 3D gaming sound. I have seen good recommendations for the Auzentech cards:

There is also always the Creative choices.

I welcome any advice.

Thanks in advance,

I am going to give the edge to the klipsch here speaker quality wise. That's a really basic HTib(Sub $300 range) I doubt it will do anything amazing
