Sound card problem

I have just bought a sound card, creative audigy 2 zs OEM and when i try to install the drivers from the disk it does not recognise that i have the sound card on my system.
I looked in the hardware section and it has recognised it as Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM) Any help please. thanks

Also my speakers are now crackling, nothing is wrong when i switch back to my onboard. Any help on this as well thanks.

Go to creative's site and see if they work.

Try in a different PCI slot.
