Sound card for DVD movies

Hello, I am interested in purchasing a new sound card. My only real constraints is that it be used four playing sound off my DVDROM. As I understand it, and please correct me if I am wrong, is that I want a sound card with SPDIF-out. That way I can send a digital signal to my receiver. Currently however I do not have a receiver with digital-in, nor Dolby Digital, nor 5.1 inputs. What am I left with? I am stuck aren't I? I need to purchase either a 5.1card and some 5.1 speakers, or pick up a Dolby Digital receiver with digital-in and do SPDIF from the receiver to my card.

am I forgetting something?

I think the RealMagic Hollywood+ cards have the connector from the DVD-ROM to the card. You can connect your speakers to the hardware decorder card or you can pass it through to the sound card. Hope this helps.

I'd go with a SoundBlaster 5.1 then. You can get these for less than $30 if you look around. They have the sp/dif out and the 6 analong out channels so you can attach them either way. The audigy would work too, but cost twice as much.
